Well, you have taken
the time to visit my web site. With that in mind, I am going to tell
you a little about myself. If I ramble on, forgive me... I have a
tendency to do that.... and I appologize in advance for it! : )
I was born in the
75th year, of the 20th century. I live in Walton, NY (small town
USA). Walton has that "Leave it to Beaver" feel. Maybe even Mayburry.
I would classify a few of our "men in blue" as the Barney Fife type!
Walton is home to apporimately 6000 residents (including those on the outskirts).
We have a wonderful school, great sports and a low crime rate (thanks to
the many Fifes that we have!). Everyone here knows everyone, which
is nice, but it has it's drawbacks!
I attended the local
high school (O'Neil High), and graduated in 1993. I attended a local
vocational school, as well as a local community college. To be exact,
it was SUNY Delhi College of Technology. I majored in Electro-Mechanical
Drafting and Design (particularly CAD). While there, I was invited
to participate in a job interview, where I was granted employment.
Since then, I have worked at Custom
Electronics, Inc. My titles there are now, Sales Manager / Systems
Administrator / Webmaster / Manufacturing Engineer. The company is
very friendly, the people are like a big family and the pay is ok.
Honestly, I like my job. I don't think I would trade it for the world.
As you may have read
on the first page of my site, I like to design web sites. I do it
as a side job, and I very much enjoy doing it. Currently, I have
designed 5 extremely successful web sites, which have received over 2,000,000
hits to date. I wish I could convince all of the local businesses
to get a web site, because the Internet is about the only thing left that
can save a town such as Walton. Even our village itself lacks a good
web site. It's too bad that more people can't see the benefits of
the Internet, before it is too late for them to do so. We have many
empty store fronts in town, and the number keeps rising, along with the
houses on the market. Even the real estate offices lack the foresight
to create a good, searchable web site! Oh well, I've spent my time
on the stump. I'll build the sites, if they just ask.
As for my family,
we are pretty close. You can learn about, and see pictures of my
mother Linda, my brother Chuck,
brother Tom, and my father,
who passed away 10 years ago. I've started to collect digital images
of my extended family, but time has not permitted me to create pages for
them yet.
What do I want to
do in life? Well, I like my job. However, I would much rather
to continue climbing the ladder. I am sure that one day, I'll be
the GM and/or V.P. I want to get to a point where I have the ability
to make a change when I see it necessary, whether it be in my career or
life. I'm getting there metnally and physically, but the financial
side needs to catch up to my experience and knowledge.
I am happily engaged
to a lady named Leah Finkbeiner. We have been together for about 3 years.
Leah is very funny, and extremely intelligent. She won't let you
see those sides of her until she's ready to. She has a lot of dreams
for life, which is nice. I'm a dreamer by nature, so we go great
together. Leah is the receptionist/scheduler for a special services
helathcare office. They do rehabilitations, prosthetics, speciaty
cares, etc. She is close to moving into the Physical Therapy area,
where she will control the scheduling, billing, etc.
How did we meet?
Well, I was riding around on my motorcycle,
and I had stopped to see a friend. Leah knew this friend, and she
had known about me. She strolled up to me and asked me to give her
a ride on the bike. As I was actually there to pick someone else
up, I had to say "no". She then asked if we could go another time.
I said sure, give me a call. A week or two went by, and she didn't
call. Then, another friend came to the house to get me, and said
that he had a girl that wanted to be introduced to me. So, I went...only
to find that Leah had left for a party. So, I figured that was done.
Two days later, she called and asked if she could drop by for a visit.
She did, and we've been together ever since.
How did I propose?
Well, it was a little different, in that there were lots of people around.
I had purchased the ring, as we had talked about marriage. She didn't
know that I had the ring, although she picked it out (long story here,
but we have a different ring already!). We were at the Ol' Jericho
Tavern in Bainbridge, NY. We were celebrating several people's birthdays,
and it was a nice setting. Everyone was having a good time, and people
started to announce the good things that were happening to them, such as
raises, promotions, etc. Then, I said, "Excuse me everyone, but as
we are all here today enjoying ourselves and discussing our good fortune,
I have something that I would like to ask Leah." Then, I bent to
one knee, popped out the ring, kneeled closer to her, and said, "Leah,
you are the most beuatiful girl in the world to me. You are funny,
intelligent, strong, and caring. I just know that I want to spend
the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?". To which,
she replied. "Of coruse I will, now get up, you are embarrassing
me!" We embraced one another, and everyone cheered. Then, the
waitstaff caught wind of it, and proceeded to bring out the entire restaurant,
including the chef, to congradulate us and see the ring.
Leah and I will be
married on July 13, 2002. Our wedding is going to be at the First
United Methodist Church in Oneonta, and the reception will be at the Hartwick
Agora. After a couple of years in a crappy, small apartment, we will
likely build a house in the Oneonta area. I am sure that several
children will follow. I'll keep you posted on our progress.
I apologize for not having more pictures of Leah on here. She avoids
the camera as much as possible. When I snap some shots of her, it
is usually unexpected, for which she'd kill me for posting on the internet!
Well, I don't know
what else to tell you about me. So, I invite you to take a gander
at my pictures. Please visit the pages of my family
members, also. I hope that you have enjoyed your trip here, and
I hope that you stop back again to look for changes.

Well, here I am.
This is when I was still cute. I know, you are wondering what happened
to me, right? |
This is me, with
my first dog, who was a Dalmation. He died shortly after this pic
was taken....he had heartworm! : ( On a brighter side, check out those
curly locks, I had! : ) This picture was taken when I was about 1 year
old. Of course I don't remember it, but this was at our old house, in Trout
Creek. We moved to the house we are in now, when I was 2. |
In this picture,
I am about 2-1/2. This was my brother Tom's guitar. Although
you can't really tell from the cheap scanning job, I had hair down to my
shoulder blades here....all ringlets! My dad didn't want me to get
a haircut, because he was affraid I would lose the curls... I guess that
would just have been wishful thinking!! My brother Tom foiled these
plans, when he decided to use the VACUUM cleaner, equipped with BEATER
BARS, on my head. It hurt! The funny thing was the ass whipping
he got for doing it to me! : ) |
See the scar?
That was from my loving brother Tom, telling me to jump through an inner-tube
from a tractor tire. No one told me there wasn't a cover on the valve
stem! Since the doctor did a hack job on me, I still have a little
scar. If you can see it, you are probably annoying me, since that
is about the only time it is visible anymore. |
This picture didn't
turn out well when I scanned it. I tried it many times, but it just
wouldn't get better! This was my first Boom-Box. My, what great
technology we had, eh? I am about 7 here. This gift was given
to me, by my aunt Adda. (she isn't really my aunt, be we always called
her that.) Adda could tell you some stories about me, she used to
babysit me!! : ) |
What is it with
the fuzzy pictures, you ask? Well, blame it on me for trying to reduce
the loading time of this page. I will re-scan these at a later date.
I am about the same age here, as I am in the pic to the left. |
Ok, so I look like
the average prep, here. What can I say? I'm ugly and my mother
dressed me funny! Here I am (I think) in the 7th grade.. movin' up
in the world, just like the Jeffersons! |
This is when I was
about 11. I played football, in the old days. Injuries and
the desire to keep what little intelligence I had, prevailed. (sort of!) |
Ah, high school.
Remember when your parents told you that you would wish you were back in
school someday? Well, I miss school. No responsibilities, no
real problems and no bills! In high school, I was on the football
team (where I realized I had enough of it!), the ski club, and of course,
the bowling team. I still bowl, and I am ok at it. One day,
I can only dream of becoming pro...it is a small wish of mine. |
This is my old bike ... boy, do I wish I still had it!! |
This is Angelle
Seeling. She is a professional motorcycle (top fuel!) drag racing
champion. This picture was taken at the 1997 Keystone National drag
races, which is a place a few of my friends and I make our annual pilgramage
to. Long live drag racing! (You know, one would think that I would
have smiled while standing next to Angelle! (I honestly think she
goosed me!) I think I was in shock from being so close to her.
|
This is me, on my
brother Tom's bike.(notice the gray patch of hair on the top of my beaner?)
This is a 1991 Ninja ZX-11. The worlds fastest production bike....ever!
I love to ride bikes. I just got my own bike again!! The pics are near
the bottom of this page... |
 |
The picture to the
left has all three of us boys in it. From left to right is Chuck,
Chad (me) and Tom. In the picture was my first dog. On each of us boy's
pages, there is a picture with the three of us together, when we
were younger. Enjoy! |
Here I am, preparing
for an evening of my only current passion...bowling! |
This is a picture
of me at the wise age of 24. This picture was taken of me at our house,
with my new hairstyle... |
| Again,
thanks for dropping by. Check out the other family members' pages, and
even the main page. I try to change the main page every few weeks to keep
it looking nice and current.
Have a good day!
